The Bottom Line and the Environment
The focus has now shifted in many organisations to be purely on the bottom line.
Extensive effort is being made to increase revenues and cut costs, with consideration of the environment taking a back seat. However, this doesn’t have to be the case; cost cutting and saving the environment should go hand-in-hand.
With recent economic events forcing focus even more onto costs, it could be argued that the credit crunch is actually good for the environment. Particularly in the supply chain, cost savings come where there is opportunity to do less of something.
